I am so effing incapable of coherence right now. YAMAPI IS HAVING AN ASIAN TOUR! <3

I swear I’m not going to spend any more money right now. I will save up. I MUST GO~! I started screaming my head off the moment I saw this news on arama. <3 uwaaah~~

NEWS member Yamashita Tomohisa (25) revealed today (11/17) that he will have a solo tour including overseas locations. From 1/29 in Hong Kong to 5/10 in Tokyo, the tour will last about half a year. There are 5 venues within Japan and 5 international for an expected total audience of 236,000.

Yamashita said the reason for his solo tour is that “It’s hard to find the time for everyone in NEWS to get together. Though group is good, there are various things I want to do as one person.”
He has many foreigner friends, and has been wanting to go overseas for a while. And as everyone knows, he’s good friends with solo artist Akanishi Jin who quit KAT-TUN and is holding his US tour. “Working hard overseas has motivated me as well. If possible, I’d like to go to US too, but Asia is closer so this time I’m going to these places. But I’d want to go to anywhere in the world.” Many countries in Asia show dramas with Yamashita and he is quite popular. Yamashita is making Asia his first step towards going international. Of course, he’ll participate in NEWS activities during his tour as well. Yamashita reassured “Don’t worry (I won’t quit)”.
He is the first artist from Johnnys in 21 years since Matchy to have a solo Asia Tour.
He will include sword battles and wants to show Japanese traditions. And the singing/ dancing of Japanese idols to all of Asia. He wants to create an entertainment experience that no one else except Johnnys Jimusho can provide.
Yamashita also stated he will release a solo album January of 2011. “I am thinking about a combination of pop and club music”. There will be songs with English lyrics, and he may write some as well. He will start recording soon. From someone in the industry, there will be songs nice beats and ones with pretty melodies, basically it’ll be a very ‘Yamapi’ album.

(this one’s written after I got off my sudden high. XD) ——> Anyway, regarding that bit that he’s “copying” Jin, I beg to disagree. I think Pi really wants to do this out of his own decisions. Based from what I’ve read way way before (interviews and such) I think it’s something he really wants, to be known outside of Japan as well. :D

And I also doubt that he’ll be leaving NewS. I know (haha, close?!?) that he loves the group too much to just up and leave them, just because he’s successful as a solo artist. If that was his target, then he could’ve done that way back then. I mean he’s already popular even before NewS debuted so it would definitely be weird to suddenly up and leave now if being a popular solo artist was his target. Anyway naysayers won’t deter me.
